In April 2017 Blue Lake Milling commenced building a new 60,000 tonne oat processing facility in Forrestfield, Western Australia on the CBH Metro Grain Centre site. This third manufacturing operational site started production in March 2018. The facility is a testament to Blue Lake Milling’s commitment to meet increasing demand for our extensive range of premium quality products. The new facility will enable BLM to service a growing export demand for oat products.
In August 2018 CBH appointed Kevin Boyle as the new Chief Executive Officer of Blue Lake Milling. Kevin bought with him more than 20 years experience in the manufacturing industry and strong leadership skills to lead growth opportunities.
In October 2019 Blue Lake Milling enthusiastically started construction work by Biogass Renewables to build an Anaerobic Digestion Plant. Anaerobic Digestion is the process of generating methane gas (commonly known as Biogas) from Oat Husks and using this as fuel in a combined heat and power generator unit. The project is expected to be completed by mid 2020.
